In its annual forecast, Pinterest named athflow as one of the main trends of 2021. What is it? The first part of the word ath- refers to the athleisure style, which is based on the most comfortable clothing and tracksuits. However, over the past 12 months, many are pretty tired of joggers and sweatshirts and began to look for different alternatives to them.

The most common options were the sensational Nap Dress sundresses, cashmere top and cardigan sets and, of course, luxurious pajamas in every sense. From this trend athflow took its second part - flow, which means different kinds of "flowing fabrics" in a fashionable context. In other words, the new trend is a more elegant take on athleisure, a cross between tracksuits and silk pajamas. Such things can be very different, the main thing is that they should be pleasant to the touch and not impede movements.

Athflow Pinterest's most popular categories include house dress (like the ones seen at the latest Prada, Fendi and Bottega Veneta shows), oversized, loose-fitting pants, pastel looks and monochrome outfits. At the same time, according to the same forecast, layering will replace a more "cozy" way to combine things - cocooning ("wrap yourself in a cocoon"). 

The designers also felt this, proposing capes similar to blankets and sheets in the spring-summer collections. However, using them in casual athflow looks can be tricky - it's best to wear your favorite knitwear. Surely over the past year, it has been added to your wardrobe.
